Kyle leads Anthony, Taylor and I on a secret mission in the expansive land behind their house. He is one of the best play mates I have every met. We have to scream to open invisible doors and carry makeshift weapons to shoot what is dangerous. “Horses?” Taylor asks. “No,” Kyle replies. “What is dangerous?” I inquire. “Bears, cougars, crocodiles, sharks and swordfish.”
Later, when Taylor catches a ride on my back after soaking her feet in a marsh, she points to the sky. “There are houses there in the clouds.” Yes, I believe there are. Who lives in the houses? “The birds.” Yes, I believe they may.
